The cruise market is growing – and with it the requirements for finishing quality and timely completion New ships feature wellness zones, high-end food service concepts and environmentally-friendly technologies. Existing ships are being modernized. KAEFER provides support for new builds, refits and conversion projects with in-house production and experienced assembly teams – on the shipyard’s schedule and according to the standards that shipyards and shipping companies expect.

Interior outfitting

KAEFER Pros outfit public areas on cruiseliners, from spas and wellness areas to lounges, restaurants, cabins, theaters, cinemas, bars and clubs. The range of services includes wall and ceiling systems, flooring and coordinating adjacent trades. Everything is designed according to SOLAS and the fire protection codes for passenger ships. Our workshops prefabricate in advance and KAEFER Pros install everything on board.

Pool decks, outside bars, sun decks, exterior deck furniture and outside areas on cruiseliners are all part of KAEFER’s range of services. We are an old hand when it comes to working with shipyards and shipping companies: on-schedule delivery, coordinating interfaces with other trades.

Technical insulation

Thermal, sound and fire protection are always the foundation when it comes to outfitting cruiseliners. KAEFER Pros have more than 100 years of insulation experience to draw on – from industry, energy facilities and shipbuilding. The range of services includes 3D surveying, sound and vibration analysis and design in compliance with SOLAS and the IMO FTP Code. Insulation according to the shipyard’s schedule, ensuring that subsequent trades can start on time.
